The Marine Hotel Ownership Group Announces Major Refurbishment Plans To Commence In June At The Iconic Ayrshire Hotel
The Iconic Marine Hotel Troon, Ayrshire.
Cannock Troon LLP, the ownership group of The Marine Hotel in Troon, have today, announced their plans to embark on a phased plan of major works to refurbish and bring a luxurious new look and feel to the iconic Ayrshire property that dates back to 1894.
Having obtained all the necessary planning and listed building consents, work is scheduled to begin at the end of June 2019 on external areas including windows, roofs and stonework. Internal works to all 89 bedrooms, reception area, restaurant and bar are scheduled to follow on later in the year.
It is anticipated that the first phase of works will take between 11 – 15 months to complete, enabling the refurbished hotel to be fully operational to welcome the AIG Women’s British Open to be held at The Royal Troon Golf Club in August 2020. The hotel will remain open and operate throughout the renovation works.

Thus, we recognised the need to invest and elevate the hotel to the status it rightly deserves having been the only hotel in Scotland to have retained an AA 4-star status throughout its history.
Further showcasing our commitment to this project, we are proud to announce that we have appointed award-winning Scottish interior design company, ICA, to deliver a design that exudes best-in-class elegance, comfort and taste whilst retaining a subtle Scottish theme throughout the hotel.”
Announcements on 2nd and 3rd phase plans to upgrade the hotel’s leisure and conference facilities will follow in due course, with the main aim being to create a premium experience across all areas of the hotel.
