The Ladies section at Skipton Golf Club is sporting a brand-new kit, courtesy of sponsor Sam Moorhouse, of Hesper Farm Skyr in Bell Busk.

The Ladies section runs A, B and weekend league teams, playing within the Yorkshire League, with friendly matches organised for later in the season for those new to the game.

It is also running ‘Get in to Golf’ sessions again this year, which were a great success in 2018. The initiative entails group lessons and progression to playing the course with members.  More information is available by email at getintogolf@skiptongolfclub.co.uk

Sam Moorhouse’s diversification into Icelandic-style Skyr yoghurt has proved a real success story. He uses milk from the award-winning Aireburn dairy herd run by his parents Brian and Judith Moorhouse

Lady captain Carolyn Murphy said: “We can’t thank Sam enough and we can only hope the Skyr’s the limit as far as our league performances are concerned this year!”
