Set in a majestic parkland setting, Rotherham Golf Club has been providing a true test to golfers of all abilities for more than 100 years. logo (2)

Two Open champions, Sandy Herd and James Braid, had a hand in designing our wonderful 18-hole layout. If the course is special, which it is, the clubhouse is truly spectacular. An imposing gothic clubhouse built in 1813, it is a Grade II listed building which takes the breath away and lives long in the memory.

Tastefully refurbished to a high standard inside, it provides the perfect venue for weddings and special celebrations, as well as to those in search of refreshment after an invigorating round of golf.

The club welcomes applications from new members and has a thriving junior section, a product of which is Danny Willett, the 2016 Masters champion.

You do not, however, need to be a professional to enjoy all that we have to offer. Visitors and golf societies are also invited to avail themselves of our famous Rotherham hospitality and play our excellent course. We look forward to welcoming you here in the very near future.

The Course

Rotherham has played host to some top professionals over the years, but we are proud to say that our 18 holes provide a fair test to golfers whatever their ability.

While it may not be as long as some courses, at 6,378 yards off the white tees playing to a par of 70 (SSS 71), it is far from a pushover either. The yardage from the yellow tees is 5,954 while it is an exacting 5,654 yards from the red tees.

The Golf Professionals

The golf shop at Rotherham Golf Club prides itself on retail experience and exceptional customer service and stocks the very latest golfing equipment and merchandise at highly competitive prices. Custom fitting is also available and offers; PING, Callaway, TaylorMade and Mizuno products.
