Belhaven Bay – Steeped in history
Belhaven Bay Caravan Park is situated within the John Muir Country Park and close to the beach and golf course.
We are privileged to be located within the John Muir Country Park, in fact the nearby town of Dunbar is the birthplace of the famous explorer, naturalist and founder of the National Parks movement in North America. The Country Park has a nature reserve complete with outdoor play park which is ideal for both families and the natural history enthusiast alike.
Adjacent, the lovely beach at Belhaven Bay has wide expanses of sand, great surfing and wonderful views across the Firth of Forth.

East Lothian’s golf coast & countryside
East Lothian enjoys the sunniest climate in Scotland, and with its outstanding natural beauty and world class activities, it’s little wonder that it is one of the most sought after destinations, not just to visit but to live.
This lovely area boasts miles of stunning coastline, gorgeous beaches, award winning attractions and some of the world’s finest links golf courses – and all just a short distance from Scotland’s Capital.
Meadowhead Parks are understandably proud to have not just one, but two of our holiday parks located in the most iconic parts of this lovely corner of Scotland.
Exciting visitor attractions
Dunbar Leisure Pool is within walking distance of the park, this family pool has waves, flumes and slides for smaller children. You could also head down to the fishing harbour and see the ruins of Dunbar Castle or enjoy some rockpooling in the town’s sandy East Beach, just minutes from the broad High Street and its unique local shops and cafes.
For walkers, Dunbar provides the start or finish of the John Muir Way, a long distance walking route between the west coast of Scotland and East Lothian. The region is of course a golfer’s paradise and there are two golf courses in Dunbar and between our park and Belhaven Bay is the Glen Golf course where play can easily be arranged. For those looking for a little more exhilaration, Dunbar is also home to Foxlake Adventures, Scotland’s first wakeboarding cable tow park.
