Welcome to Silloth On Solway Golf Club, one of the best golf courses in Cumbria and one of the best value golf courses in Britain.

Since David Grant laid Silloth golf course out in 1892 over the linksland west of the docks it has been a key tourist attraction. Over the years the course has evolved, with contributions from two great classic designers Dr Alister MacKenzie and Willie Park Junior.  Much praise has been bestowed on this golf course located in Silloth, Wigton, Cumbria. Writing about his first visit to the course in 1925, the great golf writer Bernard Darwin wrote: “I never more violently fell in love with a course at first sight.”  

Silloth represents excellent value for money: in 2013 Today’s Golfer magazine voted it the ‘Best Course in Britain and Ireland under £60’. It also appears in the Planetgolf.com top 100 golf courses in the world.  Silloth on Solway Golf Cumbria played host to the 2002-2007 R & A Regional Open Championship Qualifier, and in 2007 hosted the English Ladies Close Amateur Strokeplay Championship. In 2009 the club also hosted the EGU Mid Amateur Championship for the Logan Trophy. In 2012 the Club staged the English Amateur Championship won by Harry Ellis.

DAY 1

Arrive at the golf club for your first round of golf

Afterwards check in at the Queens B & B

Return to the clubhouse for a 2 course evening meal

The bar at the club is open till late and visitors are welcome to use the clubhouse

DAY 2

Arrive for breakfast before golf at the clubhouse

Play 2nd round of golf

Depart

(This package is in partnership with the Queens, which is a privately ran business.  Accommodation requirements not within this deal must be booked directly with the Queens.  There is a deposit of £20 per person and payment for the balance of the package is made at the club on arrival.  The Queens reserves the right to charge for late cancellations)
