Kirkby Lonsdale Golf Club is situated in the picturesque Lune Valley within the Yorkshire Dales National Park. We pride ourselves on giving all our visitors a warm Cumbrian welcome.

Our course measures approximately 6300 yards and is laid out in over 165 acres of spectacular countryside.

Our 18 hole layout is set out in two anti-clockwise nine hole loops that make full use of the natural terrain. The front nine crosses Barbon Beck and works its way down to the River Lune, before returning back to the clubhouse. The back nine heads north up the valley, presenting you with spectacular views of the Howgill Fells, before heading to the high point of the course on the 15th green.

The final three holes then provide a strong finish as you turn back into the prevailing south westerly breeze, with our signature 17th hole being a par 3 to a green perched just over Barbon Beck.

We have a clubhouse suitable for informal lunches and buffets or alternatively will seat up to 70 people for a full presentation dinner.

You may also wish to combine a visit with a stay at one of our partner hotels giving you a chance to explore the area. Kirkby Lonsdale is a small market town with a wide range of independent shops and restaurants for you to explore and enjoy. We offer superb value two and three night breaks including bed and breakfast and unlimited golf.

Welcome to Silloth On Solway Golf Club, one of the best golf courses in Cumbria and one of the best value golf courses in Britain.

Since David Grant laid Silloth golf course out in 1892 over the linksland west of the docks it has been a key tourist attraction. Over the years the course has evolved, with contributions from two great classic designers Dr Alister MacKenzie and Willie Park Junior.  Much praise has been bestowed on this golf course located in Silloth, Wigton, Cumbria. Writing about his first visit to the course in 1925, the great golf writer Bernard Darwin wrote: “I never more violently fell in love with a course at first sight.”  

Silloth represents excellent value for money: in 2013 Today’s Golfer magazine voted it the ‘Best Course in Britain and Ireland under £60’. It also appears in the Planetgolf.com top 100 golf courses in the world.  Silloth on Solway Golf Cumbria played host to the 2002-2007 R & A Regional Open Championship Qualifier, and in 2007 hosted the English Ladies Close Amateur Strokeplay Championship. In 2009 the club also hosted the EGU Mid Amateur Championship for the Logan Trophy. In 2012 the Club staged the English Amateur Championship won by Harry Ellis.
