The under 12 coaching group

Several of the future stars of Cheshire Golf were given an excellent session of playing and expert advice at Didsbury Golf Club.

Boys under the age of 12 came from across the county to enjoy the excellent facilities at Didsbury Golf Club under the guidance of Cheshire and England coach Peter Barber, the Didsbury professional, and Mark Johnson of Styal Golf Cub.

They played a mini-competition of six holes which was won by Jack Bent of Stamford Golf Club before being instructed in attitude and course management by Peter and Mark with a few other tips thrown in.

It was then out for a head to head match-play on the Didsbury practice ground involving chipping, putting and bunker play for an experience that will stand them in good stead for their golfing hopes and ambitions.
