The King Robert the Bruce course was redesigned and opened in 2016, named after the birth place of Robert the Bruce which is situated in the ruins of a medieval castle where the famous Turnberry Lighthouse stands. The course has been redesigned to take in panoramic views of the stunning Ayrshire coastline with views out to Ailsa Craig and Arran, the new holes 8th, 9th, 10th and 11th take golfer’s right out to the lighthouse. The course was redesigned by Martin Ebert, one of golf’s most influential course designers of recent times who also redesigned the Open Championship Alisa course.

The Golf Academy at Trump Turnberry has a full indoor and outdoor driving range with a stunning backdrop of Turnberry Lighthouse. It also full short game facility and large putting green which is all overseen by PGA professionals who are available to give lessons specific to requirements.
